When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

這位非常注重外觀細節的國防部長進一步向將領們説: The era of unprofessional appearance is over. No more beardos.(不專業外表的時代已經結束了。再也沒有留鬍子的怪咖了)。國防部長以有沒有留鬍鬚做為專業與否的象徵,忽略了蓄鬍在部分美軍特種特戰部隊已被視為其文化與實務需要。另外也忽略了在醫學上的考量,例如部分非洲裔與中東裔的美軍士兵患有慢性剃刀疹(Pseudofolliculitis barbae PFB假性毛囊炎),當毛髮被剃得太短或是捲曲時,毛尖可能會倒插回皮膚內層,而導致毛囊發炎,所以有此症狀的士兵通常有不需要頻繁刮鬍子的醫學豁免。這種過度強調外表整齊等同於專業的形式主義,應該是無助於真正提升美軍的戰力。
而在女性軍人議題上,國防部長也有所著墨(寫到這邊才想到,川普總統已經片面地將國防部改名為戰爭部,雖然美國國會並還沒有通過更名),他説: Every designated combat arms position must return to the highest male standard. If women can make it, excellent. If not, it is what it is. (所有實戰兵科的職位都必須回到最高男性標準。如果女性能達標,很好,如果不能,那就如此)。其實美軍自2015年開放女性進入實戰兵科後,實際上已要求女性需符合與男性相同的標準,國防部長的説法似乎忽略了此一現行制度,而強調什麼是所謂的最高男性標準。軍事體能標準的設計,應該是依據職務上的需求,而非性別上的差異。他對將領們的説法,可能會被視為將女性排除於實戰兵科之外的合理性,也可能違背了美軍自1948以來就推動的平權政策,杜魯門總統在當年簽署了行政命令,廢除了軍中種族隔離並推動男女的平權。
